The Faculty of Sports Science consists of six departments: The Department of Sports Science, The Department of Health & Welfare Science, The Department of Sports & Exercise Nutrition, The Department of Sports Intelligence & Mass Media, The Department of Modern Martial Arts, and Department of Exercise Education for Children.Department of Sports Science

The Sports Coaching Course covers both competition sports and lifetime sports. In the competition sports area, students learn newly developed sports training and coaching methods as well as sports information strategy necessary for the relevant competitions.
The lifetime sports area teaches professional knowledge and skills for training junior athletes and leading sports activities of senior people.
The Sports Trainer Course prepares both fitness trainers and athletic trainers. This course teaches professional knowledge and skills necessary for athletic trainers and strength & conditioning experts.
The Sports Management Course develops coordinators and managers of sports events and facilities. The course also provides fundamental and practical knowhow, skills and management competence of outdoor education and outdoor recreation activities.

Department of Sports Intelligence & Mass Media

Students learn two distinctive study models, i.e., the Sports Information Strategy Model and the Sports Mass Media Model. The Sports Information Strategy Model gives detailed lessons on an analytical and effective use of sports information necessary for sports competitions and ways of formulating the relevant information into sports strategy. The Sports Mass Media Model offers studies of efficient ways of conveying sports information through mass media.

Department of Modern Martial Arts

The Martial Arts Instructors Course teaches the history of martial arts, and the cultural and moral value of martial arts, as well as coaching methods of martial arts. The Security Specialists Course provides training for self-defense and the mastery of martial arts skills. The course also teaches risk analysis and crisis management, dealing with national security, police enforcement, fire prevention and private security guards.
